Whatever your current or future requirements demand, Northern Computers offers a product line that provides "The Complete Solution to Total Access Control".
The N-1000-II supports:
- Wiegand Readers
- Key Readers
- Magnetic Stripe Card Readers
- Proximity Card Readers
- Barcode Readers
- Barium Ferrite Readers
The N-1000-II is one of the only access control systems to offer a choice of the most popular card reader technologies.
Card Reader and Keypad Control
For "High Security" applications the N-1000-II will support 2 card readers and/or 2 keypads, to control a door with card, keypads, or card and keypad combination.
Support 2 Card Readers per N-1000-II
Each N-1000-II will interface to 2 card readers which provides control for 2 separate doors or will control 1 door with anti-passback. as cards are entered into the database , the cards are programmed to be valid at door 1, door 2, or both doors.
Expandable
The most important feature of any Access Control system is its ability to be expanded. The N-1000-II can operate as a stand-alone unit controlling 2 doors or up to 63 N-1000-IIs can be connected on a tewo wire loop to control 126 doors. A "Total System" is achieved by connecting the loop of control panels to a personal computer. The N-1000-II loop is also compatibleee with the N-800 "Keypad only" control panel.
Fully Distributed Database with Control Logic
One of the unique features of the N-1000-II is its completely distributed database. All card information, time zone information, relay control information and alarm point monitoring information is loaded into the N-1000-II memory. The unit will operate completely "stand-alone" without dependence on other equipment.
Memory Expandable to Over 9900 Cards
If needed, the N-1000-II's card memory size may be increased from the standard 3800 cards to over 9900 cards.
63 Time zones for Access Control and Relay Activation
The N-1000-II has 63 programmeable time zones. Each time zone is set with "Start-Time", "End Time", and "Day(s) of the Week" parameters. Cards, relays, or alarm points may be associated with the time zones for controlling access, activating realys, or shunting the alarm points. Multiple time zones may be "linked" for even more versatility.
N-1000-II Reports
The N-1000-II offers the most complete status reporting of any card access system. The reports include a card only report of all cards programmed into the database. This report includes the card number, the cardholder name, the time zone assignment, valid door(s) and provides status of limited use cards. A point report prints the current "State" of all alarm input points per control panel. The time zone report prints the current parameters if all time zones. The initialization report prints all selected software options. Many other varieties of reports are available.
English Language Text
For the first time in a system of this type, not only are the time zones, card numbers, time, date, anti-passback and egress options stored in the controller, but also the names of every user (up to 12 characters) and the english language description of the reader location, controller location and all monitored input points and output relays.
Programming Ease
The N-1000-II has been designed for ease of use and with simple straight-forward programming commands. All operations, messages and programming entries use logical standard keyboard commands.
Holiday Scheduling for Access Control and Relay Control
The N-1000-II will allow up to 32 pre-selected dates (holidays) to be programmed into memory. Whenever these dates occur, the N-1000-II will over-ride any automatic function. This would allow only card holders with a special time zone assignment to enter on holidays.
Limited Use Visitor Cards
For any card entered in the database, a limited use parametermay be included. This feature provides the ability to issue "Visitor" cards which have a pre-selected valid time for use. Limited use is 1-254 uses or visitor function is valid for 1-254 days.
Standard 3800 Card Memory
The N-1000-II includes a standard memory of up to 3800 cards. For each card entered into the N-1000-II, one or more time-zones are assigned to limit access by time of day and day of week.
The cards are also programmed to be valid at either of the 2 card readers connected to the N-1000-II. At any time a specific card may be deleted from the memory or the card access parameters may be modified.
Cardholder Names
When programmed with a terminal the standard card memory of the N-1000-II allows 950 cards to be programmed with the cardholder's name. Up to 2000 cards with cardholder names are possible with the memory expansion option. This unique feature allows the system to record the card number and the cardholder name for all access transactions.
Local or Remote Configuration
Northern Computers' unique distributed intelligence concept allows access control to be maintained whether the installation is in a single building or in multiple buildings, across town or across the country.
With modems and standard telephone line connections, the N-1000-II will provide controlled access integrity wherever your requirements are.
